Personal Experience
Phillip has been a solicitor in private practice from 1973 to date, both as sole practitioner and in partnership. His practice has included extensive experience of business transactions, leases, conveyancing, probate and litigation in all fields. He has been involved in mediations in all courts, including major Supreme Court litigation as participant and also as a mediator.
Phillip was a Member of the former Motor Accidents Board, and has practised extensively before the Guardianship List of VCAT. Phillip’s experience as a teacher of law enhances his extensive legal knowledge with a capacity to relate to all kinds of audiences, and to communicate at all levels, from neighbourhood disputes to the most complex commercial issues.
Phillip perceives mediation as a tool not only for the resolution of disputes, but for the avoidance of litigation and its attendant costs by early intervention and impartial analysis of the issues.
